This morning, I and a couple of my classmates came to school early. Some of us took out books to read, and some were chatting in small groups. At about 8:30 Teacher Liao came and told us there were some matters that needed attention. We were really very excited and looked forward to a new day’s beginning.
The first lesson, Science, is taught by Matt who is a handsome young man. His lecture’s title was “A scale model of our solar system”. He told us that there are lots of stars in the universe. There are 9 planets running around the Sun in our solar system. They are Mercury, Venus, Earth, Mars, Jupiter, Saturn, Uranus, Neptune and Pluto. The Moon is just a small star moving around our Earth. I learned their sizes and the distances from them to Earth. I like watching the sky at night, and I want to know more about the universe. I dream to watch the stars closely some day.
The second lesson was an Art lesson. Melissa gave each of us a wooden frame. She taught us how to take photos through a frame-view with cameras. Then, she took us outside. Everybody found their favourite scenery spots, objects, patterns and views on the playground and campus garden. All of us liked this work and had some beautiful pictures. I like art the best! I like painting and photography. I think I did this job very well. Here are some pictures I took in the class.
We had our lunches in the classroom at noon. The boxed-lunch was as delicious as last Friday’s. The food included pumpkins, meat with potatoes, shredded pork with green peppers and tomato-egg-seaweed soup. I ate more than I eat at home. After lunch we had one hour to have a rest. I had a short nap while some of others were playing cards, reading books, playing chess, etc……
In the afternoon we had the P.E. lesson. Peter asked us to run along with the 400meter-runway as a warm-up. I was not good at this. I felt so tired and my belly ached after one and a half laps. Then, Peter taught us how to play handball. This was the first time I played handball, and it gave us great fun on the playground. It’s not easy to throw the ball into the goal. I think I need more physical exercises from now on.
On the last lesson Melissa told us a Christmas story and she asked some of us to play different roles in the story. It was interesting but my English is not good enough to understand the whole meaning. I was sorry for that. Anyway I spent a happy day with my teachers and classmates. I learned a lot and I will do my best to study hard in the “Wisdom Raising Camp”.
I wrote this Photo Diary in Chinese first. Then I tried to translate it into English sentances one by one. At last my grandpa helped me to find and correct a large number of gramma and words mistakes in my diary.
