【斯坦福学子深情告白，值得中国家长深思】

“我要去斯坦福上大学”—— 那年七岁，小Veronica第一次跟随父母来到美国，一脸稚气的她说出了这句话。然而，她不曾想象自己将会在这片土地上实现自己的“American Dream”。

Thank you mother and father, without you I would not be who I am today.

教我如何感谢你，我的父母，如果没有你，我将会在哪里？

 

Thank you for bringing me to the U.S. when I was 8 years old, so that I could grow and learn and be independent and strong.

教我如何感谢你，在我八岁那年，将一个对未知世界仍充满迷茫的小女孩带到美利坚，让我茁壮成长，变得独立与坚强。

 

Thank you for treating me like an adult and encouraging me to take responsibility for myself, though I was young.

教我如何感谢你，一路上用成人的目光注视我，陪伴我成长，一步一个脚印，让我明白责任感的真正含义。

 

Thank you for encouraging me to think for myself, and to put my mind to figuring out things on my own.

教我如何感谢你，是你鼓励我独立思考，是你教会我独自解决问题。

 

Thank you for giving me the chance to explore different things, but not telling me what path I must go on.

教我如何感谢你，并未束缚我成长的翅膀，而是鼓励我勇敢探索每一个未知的领域。

 

Thank you for pushing me to form my own opinions, though they might differ from yours.

教我如何感谢你，在他人不以为然的时候，是你，坚定地站在我身边，理解我，认可我。

 

Thank you for encouraging me play sports because I enjoy it, and seeing the value in how it builds my character, my abilities, and my mental toughness.

教我如何感谢你，引领我结识并热爱“网球”，使我从中找寻到自我价值，磨砺意志。

 

Thank you for just letting me play, because through play, I learn about myself and about other kids, I learn about competition and challenges, I learn to be quick, flexible, and tough.

教我如何感谢你，让我在尽情玩耍中，认识自己，了解他人，勇于竞争和挑战，变得更加敏捷、灵活和坚韧。

 

Thank you for encouraging me to get up each time it gets hard and I fall down, and telling me to keep trying.

教我如何感谢你，引导我即使跌倒，也要勇敢站起来，怀抱更加坚定的信心，执着前行。

 

Thank you for helping me to understand that the process may be painful, but it is worth the effort.

教我如何感谢你，一直以来，不懈努力地用实际行动教会我苦尽甘来。

 

Thank you for helping me see failure as the best opportunity to learn, and refusing to let me give up.

教我如何感谢你，教育我失败乃成功之母，教导我永不放弃。

 

Thank you for encouraging me to read, to meet all kinds of people, to travel and see the world.

教我如何感谢你，让我懂得“阅读很多的书，结识各种各样的朋友，游历并体味色彩缤纷的世界，才是人生”。

 

Thank you for letting me go out on my own, even though you were worried about me, because you knew that when I faced challenges but didn’t have you to help me, that was the best opportunity to grow.

教我如何感谢你，尽管心有所忧，却还是坚定的让我独自踏上征程，飞向属于的我天空。感谢你坚信，独当一面，恰是我独立成长的起点。

 

Thank you for all the time, effort, and money you invested in my education and my development, my successes were because of you.

教我如何感谢你，你将一生的时间、金钱与精力都投资在我身上，却无怨无悔，是你成就了今天的我。

 

Thank you to all the 爱突破 parents who are doing the same, and who believe in their kids, and who are giving their kids the opportunity to have a great future. I was given this opportunity, and I am thankful for it every single day.

教我如何感谢你，所有的爱突破家长。感谢你们如我的父母般，相信你的孩子，给予孩子一切。

我时时刻刻刻都在感恩父母予以我的一切，所有爱突破的孩子亦将如此。

Veronica Li

Veronica毕业于世界顶尖名校，获斯坦福政治与国际关系学士学位，社会学硕士学位；拥有10年职业网球运动员经历，5年国际职业网球运动生涯。在斯坦福学习期间，她担任斯坦福大学女子网球队队长，并获全美大学生网球单、双打冠军，多次带领斯坦福校队登上全美大学的冠军宝座；凭借优异的学习成绩和卓越的网球竞技表现，在本科及研究生学习阶段，每年均获得斯坦福全额奖学金。 Veronica曾就职于美国最大在线教育集团K12，深谙美国教育理念及发展变革。多年来，她旅居欧洲、美洲、亚洲，对国际文化交流有着深入的认识。

在美国的第一个月，小Vee很快就适应了这里的生活。学校的校服很特别，还系上了“本月最佳进步学生”的缎子，她很喜欢。

在美国，11岁的Veronica爱上了运动。每次激烈的比赛后，她都会与队友们聚在一起。

Veronica获得了在联合国总部实习的宝贵机会。

每一场比赛，每一次得分，她都会举起紧握的拳头，她想告诉所有人，她代表的是斯坦福，代表的是胜利。

作为队长的Veronica带领着斯坦福网球校队登上全美大学网球赛的冠军宝座，那天她格外地兴奋与自豪！

就在获得全美大学网球赛冠军的那年，Veronica与她的队友们被邀请到了白宫参加晚宴。

Veronica凭借着优异的成绩，在自由之风吹拂的校园中毕业了。她依然记得七岁那年自己说过的那句话：“我要去斯坦福上大学！”。今天，她兑现了当初的承诺。

在美国最大在线教育集团K12，Veronica找寻到了自己的职业发展方向——教育。

在发展教育事业的道路上，Veronica对网球的热爱并未因此减弱。（澳网公开赛中与费德勒合照）

实现了“美国梦”的Veronica并未忘记自己的出生地，为了帮助更多中国学生，她回来了！

她就是爱突破青少年积极成长培养计划的创始团队成员——Veronica Li。
